Janine Andrews was a girl that was almost Taylor Made for a starring role on the world’s biggest and best page.
With her lean, 5’9’’ physique, angelic facial features and ample bosom, it wasn’t very long after her debut that the stunning Birmingham native had readers crying out for more, and she was happy to supply their demand.
Janine completed some amazing, if sometimes a little wacky, shoots during her time at Page 3 towers, including one alongside controversial comedian Jim Davidson back in 1986. We are, however, happy to report that it was Janine and not Jim that was garmentless on the day of the shoot.
After a long and successful career baring all for The Sun’s army of readers, Janine, much to the disappointment of many, decided that she had taken down her last bra strap and it was time for pastures new.
Like many of our former stunners, Janine decided to have a bash at the acting game. And she didn’t have to wait long for success, landing herself a role as a Bond girl alongside Sir Roger Moore in 1983’s 007 caper, Octopussy.
Janine’s new found stardom saw her take a more glamorous approach to her private life as well, as she hooked-up with Duran Duran bassist John Taylor for a brief time in 1984.
Sadly their match made in New Romantic heaven was not to last as they separated after only a short time, but Janine Quickly found solace with Bay City Rollers guitarist Pat McGlynn, who she is still with today.
After fronting McGlynn’s post-Rollers band (the self titled Pat McGlynn band) for a brief period in the mid-90s, the Brummie bombshell took a completely new direction and turned her hand to art direction for films.
Her credits so far include the 2002 short film ‘The Sandwich’ and the 2004 feature length film ‘Making Waves’ – an ironic title that sums up her Page 3 career perfectly.
