She may have only made just a few appearances in the English edition of The Sun, but Irish favourite Claire Tully is nothing short of a superstar back in her native Dublin.
The very first Page 3 girl to hail from the Republic of Ireland, Claire shot to fame after entering FHM’s High Street Honeys competition, thanks to some extraordinary assets – and we’re not talking about her ample 30E boobs either!
Brain box Claire can not only boast a score of 600 points in her Irish Leaving Certificate Examination - the maximum points any one person can get and the equivalent of six British A-Levels – but she’s also holds a first class honours degree in biochemistry!
Claire majored in immunology and wanted to continue her studies at Oxford University, but despite being awarded a place she couldn’t get the funding together to complete her PhD and decided to “…get my boobies out instead!”
After picking up on her amazing academic credentials, the Irish tabloids went crazy for Claire and she was thrust in to the spotlight, appearing in papers, magazines and TV all over the Irish Republic.
It wasn’t long before she came to the attention of Page 3 and the rest, as they say, is history. The Dublin-based lovely has thrilled fans since her debut in March 2008, but her influence and fan base increased when she was awarded a weekly column in the Irish Sun.
Claire get’s free reign to talk about pretty much anything she wants and certainly hasn’t held back, criticising the Irish government for their stance on cervical cancer screening, as well as getting on the wrong side of psychics by questioning their authenticity.
One thing’s for sure, Claire certainly speaks her mind and what a mind it is too. In fact, it’s almost a shame to mention it, but the gorgeous 24-year-old so much more than a brain, she’s got a fantastic pair of shirt potatoes too!
Claire hopes to continuing modelling for as long as she can, but will eventually return to her studies and hopes to dedicate her scientific career to researching a cure for HIV.
What a girl!
